A natural blue topaz with a dense checkerboard cut is set within a broad silver frame and suspended from a substantial twisted chain.

The stone is faceted in a geometric grid that divides the light into sharp, clearly defined fields. The cushion-shaped topaz is surrounded by a broad closed silver frame that secures the stone without visible claws, giving the pendant an architectural and sculptural character.

The sculpted checkerboard cut relates to the modern German tradition of artistic gemstone cutting that developed during the later 20th century. The surface functions as a geometric relief, with each facet altering the colour and light according to the viewing angle.

The chain is formed in a substantial twisted cable pattern. Its robust links and the connecting ring above the pendant reinforce the necklace’s distinctive designer-silver character. The wearing length can be adjusted between 42 and 45 cm.

The reverse is marked 925 together with the maker’s mark CW. The mark has not been connected with a verified maker or company. The necklace is distinguished by its natural topaz, substantial silver weight and carefully executed construction.
