An authentic 1920s Art Deco necklace with architectural clarity, well-preserved rolled gold and three cool blue stone accents.
The richly worked front link section forms a continuous chain in a warm gold tone, set with three oval blue stones along its length. The necklace has substance, precision and the disciplined rhythm associated with Art Deco design.
The necklace is made in doublé, an established historical technique in which a substantial layer of gold was mechanically bonded to a base metal. The gold surface remains well preserved after nearly a century, reflecting the quality of the material and the care with which the necklace has been kept.
The surviving surface retains its warm gold tone, while the faceted blue stones introduce a distinct cool colour contrast. The worked link section, balanced palette and preserved finish give the necklace a strong presence when worn.
An early maker’s mark remains visible on one of the links, although it is partly worn and cannot be read in full. The spring-ring clasp, carefully joined construction and preserved doublé surface retain the necklace’s original 1920s character.
