How Payment Works
Each object page shows the purchase options available for that object and the applicable cost. A binding order is created only after the client has confirmed the obligation to pay and received a written order confirmation from Aegis Atreifs AB.
All purchases are completed by Aegis Atreifs AB through the auction house. The client then purchases the object from Aegis Atreifs AB in accordance with the order confirmation and the terms displayed before the order was placed.
Fixed Price
30% deposit and final payment-
The total price is displayed
The object page and the order confirmation show the fixed total price, including VAT, together with details of what is included. Any optional delivery charges are displayed separately before the order is placed.
-
The order is confirmed with a 30% deposit
The deposit forms part of the total price and is deducted from the final payment.
-
Aegis Atreifs attempts to purchase the object
Aegis Atreifs AB is registered as the buyer with the auction house. The outcome of an auction cannot be guaranteed.
-
If the purchase is unsuccessful
The deposit is refunded in full to the original payment method. No administrative fee is deducted.
-
If the purchase is successful
The remaining amount, normally 70% of the total price, is payable after the auction has ended and before delivery. The payment deadline is stated in the order confirmation and is normally 3–5 days.
Personal Price Limit
The client’s confirmed maximum limit-
The cost framework is explained
Before the order is confirmed, the cost components included in the calculation are displayed. These may include the object, auction fees, transport, insurance, tax, and Aegis Atreifs’ service fee.
-
The client sets a price limit
The price limit is the highest confirmed amount on which the purchase may be based. Aegis Atreifs will not complete the purchase above this limit without renewed written approval.
-
Aegis Atreifs attempts to complete the purchase
Aegis Atreifs AB acts as the buyer with the auction house in accordance with the order confirmed in writing.
-
If the purchase is unsuccessful
No payment is charged for the object. Any other cost approved in advance must have been clearly displayed before the order was placed.
-
If the purchase is successful
The client pays 100% of the final confirmed amount after the auction has ended and before delivery. The amount is based on the actual cost specified in the order confirmation and may not exceed the confirmed price limit.
Terms Applicable to Both Purchase Options
No mandatory charges are added unless they have been displayed and approved before the binding order is placed.
Payment, delivery, cancellation, the right of withdrawal, returns, and complaints are governed by the order confirmation, Aegis Atreifs’ terms, and mandatory Swedish consumer law.
A deposit or other advance payment does not restrict the client’s statutory rights. In the event of cancellation before delivery, Aegis Atreifs may claim only such reasonable compensation as is permitted by law and can be substantiated.
