Turquoise-Coloured Necklace in Southwestern Style
A cool blue-green colour and a broad articulated centre give the necklace a distinctive Southwestern character.
The slender strand of beads opens towards the centre into larger, flat elements with irregular outlines. The sections sit closely together to form a continuous front, while the metal connectors preserve movement throughout the central arrangement. The turquoise-like colour works particularly well with denim, white linen, suede and warm natural tones.
The design has clear visual parallels with tab necklaces and turquoise jewellery from the Southwestern American tradition. It is therefore described in stylistic terms, while authorship and geographical origin remain open because no documented tribal marks, silversmith’s signatures or provenance information accompany the piece. This wording follows the principle of accurate attribution in the marketing of Native American arts and crafts.
The broad central section gives the necklace a defined silhouette and a strong presence of colour around the neckline. Its articulated beaded construction follows the body and allows each element to move individually, creating a fluid drape when worn.
The colour and form work equally well with relaxed everyday clothing and as a composed accent against solid-coloured garments. The Southwestern aesthetic is carried through the blue-green palette, tab-shaped elements and broad front.
