Deep Blue Spinel Suspended in an Open Double Frame
En djupblå fasettslipad spinell svävar mitt i en öppen oval konstruktion av dubbla ramar.
Stenen hålls på plats av fyra spiralvridna trådvindlingar, symmetriskt placerade runt den ovala infattningen. Den djupblå tonen fyller hela det öppna fönstret, medan konstruktionen släpper in ljus från flera håll och ger stenen ett levande färgspel.
Det arkitektoniska formspråket med en fritt placerad sten i en öppen metallstruktur anknyter till den skandinaviska modernismens silversmide från mitten av 1900-talet. Metallen bygger form, rörelse och volym kring stenen. Stämpeln 830 motsvarar en silverhalt som förekom ofta inom nordiskt silversmide under perioden. Förgyllningen ligger jämnt över ytan och ger ringen en varm gyllene lyster.
Med en vikt på 5,6 g har ringen en tydlig substans. Den öppna konstruktionen ger den ett skulpturalt uttryck och framhäver stenen från flera vinklar.
