Ruby Zoisite in an Open Rhombic Silver Setting
A large mineral section with ruby-red inclusions is held at the centre of a clean, openwork silver form.
The ruby zoisite displays its natural patterning across the entire surface: green zoisite, darker mineral areas, and red ruby inclusions without symmetrical repetition. The disc-shaped stone contrasts with the rhombic frame, where the open spaces between metal and mineral reveal the construction.
Ruby zoisite is also known as anyolite and consists of ruby embedded in a predominantly green zoisite matrix. The material is valued for its continuous interplay of colour and is particularly well suited to larger free-form designs. The pendant’s Modernist construction and subdued silver surface keep the focus on the mineral’s natural appearance.
